Issue: December 04, 2014
Good morning, readers!
I hope you're enjoying all this rain we've been getting, even if it is a
little on the gloomy side. Luckily, it's Thursday, which means the CN&R
has some great rainy-day reading for you. Our feature story this week is
all about Chico's trees and what activists worry might happen should the
city not hire an urban forester or complete its Urban Forest Management
Plan.
In other news, we check in with outgoing mayor Scott Gruendl and get a
glimpse at the newly elected City Council in action; we meet the parents
of Victor Coleman, the man who was shot to death by Oroville police
officers back in April, and hear what they have to say about the
investigation into his death; Arts Devo gets in touch with his inner
Krampus; and food writer Henri invites us to try out some of his
favorite holiday drink recipes.
Cheers!
