Issue: February 06, 2014
Good morning, CN&R readers!
Our Love, Sex, Marriage issue is full of stories related to the theme--from Eartha Shanti's love-the-Earth guest commentary, to our four-story cover package, to intern Katherine Green's cute 15 Minutes piece, "Dancin' machine," a short Q-and-A with a dynamic 84-year-old named Roeena Cohen.
Along the way, stop in the A&C section to read (among other things) contributor Matthew Craggs' racy "Cupid's little helper" (if you dare), as well the Healthlines section, for Assistant News Editor Howard Hardee's "Is Facebook wrecking homes?," and Greenways, to read contributor Claire Hutkins Seda's "Love and bicycles," a preview of the Butte Environmental Council's Valentine's Day dinner/ride/show.
Of course, catch up on the news in our Newslines section, which includes News Editor Tom Gascoyne's cleverly titled piece, "Taking the initiative," on the Saturday-morning downtown farmers' market's latest move.
On a sad note, contributor Miles Jordan offers a memorial tribute to the late local musician and retired Chico State professor Frank Ficarra in Arts DEVO.
Pick up a hard copy of the paper to read the Calendar section, including our Picks for particularly fun events to attend, such as Origin Tribal Belly Dance's February 13 farewell show at Duffy's Tavern.
There's still plenty of time to plan something nice for your sweetheart...
Christine G.K. LaPado-Breglia, associate editor
