Issue: December 27, 2012
Good morning, readers:
Are you ready for 2013? Before we say hello to the new year, we always like to take a look back at the happenings of the previous year. And, boy, was it a year to remember! It was a presidential election year, of course, so that made things memorable in many ways. This week, we present our annual Year in Review issue, with the top-10 stories of the year, as well as the many other notable stories and the ever-popular “What were they thinking?” write-ups.
This week in Healthlines, check out the story on how local physicians (and patients) are using mobile devices in the health-care field.
In Greenways, there’s a great little story about joys of chicken-keeping.
In the Arts and Culture section, film buffs especially will want to read a review of 2012’s great films, compiled by CN&R lead critic Juan-Carlos Selznick. In Chow, check out the feature on syrah (and shiraz) wines. And don’t forget to check out the recipients of this year’s DEVO Awards.
Happy New Year!
