Issue: March 08, 2012
It’s Fiction 59 time! You know what that means. We’ve culled through
hundreds of entries ably penned by local writers, handed the first-round
picks to our guest judge (Chico State English prof Robert Davidson), and he
whittled those entries down to the best of the best. With that, we offer
you the CN&R’s annual Fiction 59 winners’ issue. Enjoy!
In other news, the Chico City Council weighs in on the plastic-bag debate;
a well-known climate-change speaker addresses Red Bluff; I share my
experience learning about sustainable sushi; and a silent-film fest comes
to town.
All that and more in this week’s issue. Until next time,
Meredith Graham, managing editor
