Look, up in the air!
It’s that time of year again--time for the Chico Air Show. To celebrate,
the CN&R highlights the career of former Navy pilot Vance Parker, who was
part of the Blue Angels, the Navy’s elite flight-demonstration team. Also,
check out stories about the B-17 Flying Fortress, which makes a triumphant
return to Chico this weekend.
In other news: Second-hand stores have swarmed downtown ; Davis’ Wiki page
has launched an attack on Chico; and Editor Robert Speer gives Wally Herger a tongue-lashing.
Don’t miss: Our special Dine Local section highlighting restaurateurs--and
farmers--who work hard to put locally produced foods on our plates. And if
you haven’t already, vote for Best of Chico!
