The chart above shows how the federal government spends its tax revenues, as broken down per dollar, according to the National Priorities Project. The NPP is a self-described “national non-profit, non-partisan research organization dedicated to making complex federal budget information transparent and accessible so people can prioritize and influence how their tax dollars are spent.”
