You snooze, you win
A few tips on how to get the most out of your midday nap

Aside from maybe drawing scorn from Type-A personalities, there’s nothing wrong with a midday snooze. In fact, napping offers a host of health benefits ranging from increased alertness to improved memory. Here are a few pointers:
• Keep it brief: Napping for more than 30 minutes can leave you feeling groggy.
• Keep it in the middle of the day: Before lunch is too early, and toward evening may affect your nighttime sleep.
• Sleep on the sofa: You don’t want to trick your mind into thinking it’s time to shut down for the night, so steer clear of your bed.
