Yeah, they’re even older now, but there’s no need to worry about The Who. Doubtless, there will be emergency professionals standing by to fetch bassist John Entwistle a medicinal brandy should one be required. Or ear plugs for going-deaf vocalist Roger Daltrey. Even so, a fire’s been re-ignited under The Who’s collective ass, and the band has been turning in some pretty hot shows. Sure, the tickets are astronomically priced compared to the $8 I paid to see the group’s original line-up back in 1976, but I’ll be there watching Pete Townshend (pictured) whirl his arm yet again. If you’re a fan, maybe you will be, too. There are still some tickets available through Ticketmaster at the Tower Records, 215 Main St., in downtown Chico.
