Where are you?
Considering some of the weak-kneed comedies already dumped on a bored-to-death public this summer, perhaps what is needed is a good ol’ fashioned, live-on-stage parody of a kids’ goofy Saturday morning TV cartoon. If this sounds anything like what you’ve been looking for, writer/director Craig Blamer‘s satire Sküby-Dü and the Phantom of the Senator could be right down your haunted corridor. Features a hip, happening, hilarious script, well-known, talented local actors (including comedian John Bertoli as “Skübe"), and original music composed by Chen Compton. Plays late night at The Senator Theatre, 517 Main St. in downtown Chico. Tickets: $5 in advance; $7 at the door. Doors open at 10:30 p.m. Note: Not recommended for children! More info: (530) 894-8621.
