Now you can listen to the soundtrack for the fab five’s quest to make every red-blooded straight man in America a metrosexual. The CD, which boasts the slogan, “Take your ears from drab to fab,” on the back cover, does so with the beat of the first song. The catchy tunes, including the Queer Eye anthem “All Things” by Widelife, aren’t just your average techno or house music. There is a mélange of sounds from artists such as Kylie Minogue, Sting, Duran Duran and one of my new all-time favorite bands, Basement Jaxx, featuring Lisa Kekaula. But if you think the guys have forgotten about their make-over roots, don’t fret. Not only do you get a great CD that will keep your toe tapping all night long, but there are also five hip tips inside the CD jacket from each of the guys. Carson Kressley, fashion savant, tells us that “your face is your artwork and it deserves a great frame. The right pair of sunglasses can make anyone look like a rock star.” Finally a CD that blends music with fashion tips. My prayers have been answered.
