Vanore says arrivederci
Concow’s favorite son, TV weather forecaster Dave Vanore (pictured), is moving to Jacksonville, Fla., to take a position at “First Coast News,” a joint production of two stations, WTLV Channel 12 (ABC) and WJXX Channel 25 (NBC). There he will work along-side former colleague Ashley Coleman, who moved to Jacksonville in May 2007.
According to a press release from Trisha Coder, news director for the Chico-based newscasting operation that serves local channels 10, 12 and 24, Vanore has been “an integral part of our weather department … for seven years and is without a doubt a North State favorite.”
He’s also the best-dressed guy on local TV. One question: Is the pig going with?
