United against hate
Hundreds gather at Chico State to denounce race hate
Hundreds of college students, along with others from the campus community, gathered Friday (April 23) at Chico State in support of A.S. President Joseph Igbineweka, who was attacked the previous weekend in an apparent hate crime.
Student organization Black Leaders on Campus and the university Cross Cultural Leadership Center organized the “unity rally.” Police Chief Mike Maloney spoke, urging anyone with information about the stabbing to contact investigators.
