Confidence in media is shaky in many Western countries
Folks in Britain are almost certain to be more skeptical of the quality and integrity of media outlets in the wake of the recent News of the World phone-hacking scandal. However, according to a 2010 Gallup poll, their confidence was already shaky. According to the survey, 56 percent of respondents said they lacked confidence in their country’s media. The numbers are higher than the European average of 48 percent no-confidence, but not as bad as us cynics across the pond with our whopping 69 percent disapproval of our country’s media performance.
Do you have confidence in the quality and integrity of the media?
