Top-notch nursing school

Chico State’s School of Nursing appears near the top of one online list ranking the best nursing programs in the western United States and another that looks at the country as a whole.

The online nursing resource NurseJournal.org ranked Chico State No. 10 of 442 western schools. According to the website, the list is based on criteria such as rates of passing exams, financial aid, rates of retention between students’ first and second years, and the salaries of alums after graduation compared with the cost of tuition. (The No. 1 spot was awarded to CSU Dominguez Hills’ School of Nursing.)

Further, rntobsn.org, a website dedicated to advancing bachelor of science in nursing degrees, recognizes Chico State’s RN-to-BSN program as No. 36 of nearly 400 similar programs throughout the United States.
