CN&R salutes four local heroes who make the community better for all of us
The Chico News & Review has developed a lot of traditions over the paper’s 29 years. One of them is saluting charitable Chicoans in the Thanksgiving-week issue.
On the next few pages, we spotlight four “local heroes"—people who do good works away from work, who dedicate their free time to helping others in need. Nominations came from a variety of sources, including county Supervisor Jane Dolan, Chico State President Paul Zingg and Religious Studies professor Andrew Flescher.
When giving thanks this Thanksgiving, take a moment to think about these and other people who give so much without asking for thanks.
