Amercians are protesting more since Trump took office
A recent poll conducted by The Washington Post and Kaiser Family Foundation aimed to determine how activism has changed since Trump took office. It found, significantly, that 1 in 5 Americans attended some kind of protest, political rally, demonstration or speech in the past two years. Of that group of “rallygoers,” as the poll categorizes them, 53 percent said they don’t consider themselves to be activists. Rallygoers were asked if they’d attended an event to express their views on a variety of issues. Here are the top causes that got people out of their houses and into the streets:
