Symbols and cocktails …

Moxie’s Café and Gallery, located at 128 Broadway in downtown Chico, hosts an exhibition of new works by father-and-son artistic team David and Jeb Sisk. Titled Sisko Squared: Contortions for Couch and Contemplation, the multi-media show features the duo’s usual penchant for three- as well as two-dimensional pieces. Pictured here is the painting “Delicate Balance,” which seems to depict a Buddha-like, saintly figure springing from the martini glass of a decidedly demonic-looking goat! Quel symbolique! The show is running now through Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002. More information: Matthew Melcon, 345-0601.
