WHERE THE WIND TAKES YOU
Those who were out and about at around 9 a.m. on Monday in north Chico were treated to an unexpected sight—a hot-air balloon, floating curiously close to apartment complexes and telephone poles. Jim Thibodeau, the balloon’s pilot, recently moved to Chico and is in the process of relocating part of his Wings Group Balloon Co. here. In the trial flight Monday, the balloon made its way slowly to the ground, landing near Parmac Road between Rio Lindo Avenue and Cohasset Road. “You’ll probably see me again,” Thibodeau said.
