Pictured is conceptual artist and sound pioneer Paul D. Miller, better known to his fans as DJ Spooky. And he’s worked with a variety of artists and musicians from myriad backgrounds, such as Iannis Xenakis, Kool Keith, Thurston Moore and Yoko Ono. “Everyone knows certain beats,” he once told The Boston Phoenix. “Technology is making the process democratic.” Spooky brings his unique blend of hip-hop rhythm and conceptual sonic art to The Brick Works, Thursday, June 28, at 9:30 p.m. Tickets: $8, advance; $10, door.
