Rock the recycling!
Yard signs and other campaign materials can be recycled
OK, the election’s over. Now what are you going to do with those signs cluttering your yard, or those direct-mail hit pieces you received? How about recycling them?
In a press release touting Waste Management Inc.’s “Rock the Recycling after Rocking the Vote” campaign, Justin Caporusso, company spokesman, says it’s possible for Chico residents “to be politically active and reduce waste at the same time.”
Signs and placards made out of paper, cardboard or plastic are recyclable, as are the metal stakes and stands. He advises people to refer to their individual recycling programs for further details and recycling center locations.
