National campaign rallies young voters to make energy a priority
Young folks around the nation are working to make energy a priority in this election and those to come by making a pledge through a new college-based campaign.
Power Vote, a bipartisan effort, is spearheaded by the Energy Action Coalition and aims to bring together more than 1 million voters in the common goal of urging elected officials to find solutions to the climate crisis.
Last fall, EAC helped thousands of young people have their voices heard as they gathered in Washington, DC, to meet with elected officials.
Power Vote is organized on more than 300 college campuses in at least 35 states across the nation. Locally, Butte College has organized a group and is working at the Oroville campus to mobilize voters. For more info, visit www.powervote.org or e-mail Sean Brown at sustainability@butte.edu.
