Return of the princess
Eri Yoshida re-signs with the Chico Outlaws

Eri Yoshida won over the hearts of baseball fans around the world last year when she signed with the Chico Outlaws, becoming the first woman to pitch for a pro team in the United States in more than 10 years and the only woman to pitch in pro leagues in two countries. The pint-sized Japanese knuckleball pitcher is back with the team for the rest of the North American Baseball League’s season. The 19-year-old “knuckle princess” re-signed with the team last week, making her 2011 mid-season debut on Friday (July 22) during an 8-4 win over the Maui Na Koa Ikaika at Nettleton Stadium.
