Recycling pays off

The club will receive a prize of $250 for keeping its recycling containers free of nonrecyclable items.

The year-long “Recycle Rewards” program launched in May to promote responsible recycling practices by recognizing participating businesses and commercial collection front-load customers.

Each month, a business or customer name is drawn, and the location’s recycling containers are inspected for contaminating materials that are nonrecyclable. Once the audit is complete, the business or multifamily dwelling is awarded with a cash prize of $250.
