Ready the spitballs …

You’re invited to follow the misadventures and also to endure the growing pains of four Catholic schoolgirls in The Blue Room’s latest production, appropriately entitled Catholic School Girls. Written by Casey Kurtti, the comedy/drama depicts the evolution of Wanda, Elizabeth, Colleen and Maria Theresa (pictured left-to-right, Alice Wiley-Pickett, Betty Burns, Jocelyn Stringer, and Samantha Perry) as they pass from first through seventh grades during the simultaneously turbulent and liberating era of the ‘60s. Opens 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, and runs Thursdays-Saturdays through Oct. 27. A special Sunday evening show occurs at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14. Tickets: $10 general; $8 students and seniors; Thursday nights all seats only $5. The Blue Room Theatre, 139 West First St. (above Collier Hardware). More info: 895-3749.
