Professor awarded abroad
Chico State’s Jeff Price, a biology professor, will be headed across the pond to work at the World Conservation Monitoring Center located in Cambridge, England.
Price (pictured) has been appointed as a senior fellow for climate change and biodiversity for the United Nations program. He’ll be assisting the center with research on emissions-reducing measures during portions of 2008, but retaining his faculty position at Chico State.
A co-author of Fingerprints of Global Warming on Wild Animals and Plants, Price also is a lead author of a report issued last year by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, for which he shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
