Proactive policing

Last Friday (Jan. 19), the Chico Police and Butte County Probation departments teamed up on a proactive approach to dealing with thefts in Chico, which have been a growing problem, according to a CPD press release. In so doing, they focused their efforts on making contact with those on probation for theft and robbery, as well as others suspected of being involved in such activity. A similar tactic was taken in December. Here are the results:
