Paradise Post down to twice a week
It will publish Wednesdays and Saturdays
The Paradise Post has announced that beginning Jan. 18 it will come out only twice a week, combining its Tuesday and Thursday editions into a Wednesday paper. The Saturday edition will continue.
In a message to subscribers, publisher Jim Gleim writes, “The decision to eliminate a printed edition, a step being taken by newspapers across the country, was made after evaluating the changing lifestyle preferences by many of our readers and how they consume their news. Readers are demanding that we provide our content in ways that suit those lifestyles.”
Some of the columnists will move to online, and the paper said it “hopes to have Town Council news in the Wednesday morning print edition.” The Post was first published in 1947 and was bought by MediaNews Group in 2003.
