Opinions on Obamacare
Majority either approve or have no opinion of ACA
Despite what opponents like Rush Limbaugh say about the Affordable Care Act, a vast majority of Americans do not disapprove of the plan that begins going into effect in October. On July 31, the right-wing radio fact-spinner said, “Every poll you look at, a majority—and it’s sizeable—oppose Obamacare.” According to a Gallup poll conducted Aug. 17-18, 52 percent of respondents either approved (41 percent) or had no opinion (11 percent). That leaves 49 percent, less than a majority, who disapprove; that number, however, is up 4 percent since December 2012.
