Chico’s master muralist Scott Teeple has struck again. Adding to his 15 or so public murals in the Chico area, the talented painter of bricks and mortar was commissioned by the city to paint something in the rear windows of the Chico Museum. “The Venetian blinds had rotted out and fallen to the floor exposing some ugly stuff,” Teeple explained. Working from a 90-year-old postcard, the artist recreated the old State Normal School as it would appear as a reflection in the museum windows. “Everybody seems to like it quite a lot,” Teeple said of the reaction thus far. “It really does looks like a reflection.”
