Six years after it was unceremoniously dismantled and trucked to a city storage yard, the historic Senator Tower has been returned to its place of glory at Fifth and Main streets. Well, not the original tower. Eric Hart, the owner of the building that houses the art deco-era Senator Theatre, had the tower reconstructed and accented with reflective glass features and erected early in the morning of May 22. The then-70-year-old tower was deemed by prior owners United Artists to be too expensive, or too much of a hassle, to deal with after it was noticed to be leaning slightly.
