Taking on the Gov

About 40 people representing public service workers gathered on the steps of the Chico Chamber of Commerce April 13 to announce plans to fight Gov. Schwarzenegger’s special election. Under the name Alliance for a Better California, speakers, including Elk Grove High School teacher Bekah Oberdorf (pictured), took turns criticizing the governor’s “broken promises” and efforts to “balance the budget on the backs of the state’s working people.”
