A work crew and equipment from the Cascade Drilling Co. are currently set up across from the Park Plaza Shopping Center on Mangrove taking samples from the plume of water that runs under this part of Chico. Last week, the crew drilled through the parking lot across the street, close to the dry cleaning business in the shopping center there. Dry cleaners are suspected possible sources of the contamination that has entered the plume.
