I can’t see for miles and miles
The sixth annual Snow Goose Festival started out under a thick blanket of fog at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Llano Seco unit Saturday morning, but the weather didn’t keep field trip leader Shelly Kirn from pointing out the refuge’s feathered residents and visitors. Kirn, a Chico State Biology instructor, listened for the calls of the Pin Tailed Duck and Canada Goose and used a poster to show the over 40 people in her group [in total, about 250 people participated] what they would have seen had the fog not been so thick.
