PARTY OF TWO
In the last few weeks local Republicans and Democrats opened their respective party headquarters. The Repubs, above, have moved into the old Bar X liquor store on the corner of Mangrove and Vallombrosa. Here, standing in front of the coolers that used to hold bottles of beer, are Dorothy Borgquist, left, president of the Chico Republican Women’s Club, and Joan Kruckenberg, first vice president. The Demos have set up shop in the Humboldt Studio on Humboldt Avenue just around the corner and west of the skate park. There were no representatives there to greet us when we paid them a visit this week.
