Music pick
What can be said? The man is a living legend, literally a broadcast pioneer. Moriss Taylor (pictured) began his music career locally way back in 1948. The man also had enough savvy to buy shares in the fledgling KHSL station back when most folks thought investing in something as new and gimmicky as television was a bad idea. Well, those folks were plumb wrong. Taylor’s weekly country-western show aired on Channel 12 for more than 40 years. Now, Taylor brings his band to the Senator Theater this Saturday night, Nov. 24. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Showtime is 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7 p.m. The Senator Theater, 517 Main St. Info: 894-8621.
