The first concerts of the new North State Symphony, featuring the finest classical musicians in the Northstate and conducted by maestro Kyle Wiley Pickett (pictured), happen at CSUC’s Laxson Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 22, and at the Shasta Learning Center in Redding on Sunday, Sept. 23. French Fantastique showcases Berlioz‘ monumental opus Symphonie Fantastique. Works by such fine French composers as Debussy, Saint-Saëns and Faure are also featured. Advance tickets: $18, adults; $15, seniors; and $10, students and children. Add $2 at the door. Season ticket packages are also available: $72, adults; $60, seniors; and $40, students and children.
