Sheriff’s Office puts warrant out for Christopher Warren
A suspect has been named in connection to a woman’s body that was discovered March 16 in a dump trailer on the 200 block of Rose Avenue in west Chico, according to a press release from the Butte County Sheriff’s Office.
An arrest warrant charging Christopher Warren Swihart (pictured), 49, with murder has been issued. The victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of her family, was a 55-year-old Chico resident. The suspect and victim apparently knew each other.
Swihart is described as a 5-foot-5-inch Caucasian weighing 180 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. He drives a 1989 primer-gray Chevy pickup truck with a California license plate 8E28926. Anyone with information is asked to call BCSO at 538-7671.
