Those who’ve missed Jerry Olenyn, the outgoing former Chico television reporter for Action News, can now hear him on the radio.

Olenyn (pictured) is now host of a half-hour Christian program called Live Local Talk With Jerry Olenyn that can be heard at 8:30 a.m. weekdays on KKXX 104.5 FM and 930 AM. Olenyn is husband of news anchor Kelli Saam, who is now with KRCR News Channel 7, in Redding. He’s also a freelance TV reporter.

According to a press release from KKXX, the show is designed to reach out to a broad audience, not just people of faith. “Christians are not one-dimensional,” Olenyn said. “We have a lot of interests and enjoy a spirited discussion.”
