Money matters
Ramsey opens own wallet to match Daniel

Campaign money is flowing Lance Daniel’s way, much it from local business owners Mike Ramsey’s office has prosecuted for polluting. Of the $86,887 Daniel had raised by May 27, $7,500 came from Chico Scrap Metal, $5,000 from the Highway 70 Industrial Park and $12,542 from the political-action committee Citizens for Economic Balance (CEB).
Ramsey has raised $101,262, including $50,000 he lent himself. Other contributors include Chico contractor Michael Coffron ($5,000), Mooretown Rancheria ($1,000), and Deputy DA Hal Thomas ($1,100). Thomas’ is the attorney who handles the DA’s environmental prosecutions.
