Message of togetherness Chicoans rally against separating children from parents at U.S. border This article was published on 07.05.18 In at least the fourth local protest against Trump’s immigration policy, more than 100 people took to the Chico streets Saturday (June 30) for a Families Belong Together rally that coincided with others across the nation. Adults and children alike held signs and chanted “love and respect” in response to a Trump administration policy that has separated over 2,000 children from their parents at the U.S. border, many of them seeking asylum.
