Madness to mistress …
Meet Artie Shaugnessy (Matt Hammonds, seated). He’s a zookeeper who wants to change his life for the better. Artie longs to escape his insane wife, Bananas (Ginger Hanner, also seated), run off with his mistress, Bunny (Deanna Cordano, standing), and settle in Hollywood where he’ll write beautiful songs someday. While attempting to nudge Bananas into an insane asylum, a “house with blue leaves,” everything that can go wrong does so, in playwright John Guare‘s 1968 dark comedy The House of Blue Leaves. Directed by Randy Wonzong. Opens Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m., and runs nightly through Saturday, Nov. 10, with a 2 p.m. matinee, Sunday, Nov. 11.
