Oroville Police Department believes fully automatic firearm used in drive-by shooting
Authorities believe a fully automatic weapon was used to empty 29 shots into an Oroville home during a Jan. 3 drive-by shooting, according to Sgt. John Sanzone of the Oroville Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at about 7 p.m. that evening for a report of shots fired into a residence from a vehicle on the 2900 block of El Noble Avenue. Though several people were in the home at the time, no one was injured.
Sanzone said evidence from the scene is still being processed and that no suspects have yet been identified. Witnesses reported seeing a red Honda leaving the area shortly after the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call the Oroville Police Department at 538-2448.
