Looking for a green hotel?

The next time you take a trip and need to check into a hotel or motel, why not choose one that is eco-friendly? To help members do so, the Automobile Association of America, the nation’s largest travel organization, is adding a new, bright-green “ECO” symbol to its AAA TourBook guides to identify eco-friendly lodgings.

According to a press release, “the icons depict guest services, leisure activities, in-room amenities and safety features that members say impact their hotel selection and satisfaction.”

The ECO symbol will be featured in the 2010 editions of the AAA TourBook guides and on www.aaa.com beginning in December, just in time for the holidays. The TourBook guides include detailed information on more than 31,000 lodging facilities.
