Local hospitals honored
HealthGrades comes out with latest rankings
HealthGrades, a website that collects data on physician and hospital quality, has released its 2012 Hospital Quality Ratings Report, ranking all three local hospitals among others across the nation.
Oroville Hospital received HealthGrades’ Pulmonary Care Excellence Award and ranked in the top 5 percent in the nation for overall pulmonary services, according to a hospital press release.
Oroville wasn’t the only one to receive high marks, though. Enloe Medical Center received a Cardiac Surgery Excellence Award, ranking it among “America’s 100 Best” for cardiac surgery. Also, Feather River Hospital received the Critical Care Excellence Award.
Go online to www.healthgrades.com to check your physician’s or hospital’s rating. The site ranks each facility on its record of various treatments, from maternity care to heart attacks.
