Check out the United Nations Environment Program’s new TV spot, “Eco-tips for jeans,” intended to enlighten people on ways they can help fight climate change: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYprgHH7Zrw. The playful 30-second clip, featuring a young French couple dancing the Tecktonic in a Laundromat and a subway station to Etienne de Crecy’s “Am I Wrong,” advises wearing jeans three times before washing them, washing them in cold water, and not using a dryer or iron. “If you care about the planet, here are some tips you should never forget,” it offers, before adding that following this advice will result in a fivefold decrease in energy use.
