Label it!
Majority of Americans want GMO-containing foods labeled
Most Americans want foods containing genetically modified organisms (or GMOs) labeled as such, according to a recent survey by The Associated Press-GfK. In the poll, 66 percent of respondents favored labeling, 7 percent were in opposition of such a requirement, and 24 percent remained neutral. GMOs became a hot topic in California back in 2012, when a ballot initiative to require labeling was narrowly defeated. Vermont is the first state to require GMO-labeling, which goes into effect next year.
