Tips to avoid stress over the holidays

Between parties, family coming to town, buying and wrapping gifts and cooking for that company potluck, it’s no wonder people tend to get stressed during the holidays. Here are a few tips to keep you stress-free.
• Be realistic. It’s OK if everything isn’t perfect. Stick to what you can realistically handle and know everything will be all right.
• Maintain healthy eating habits. Overindulging can be a recipe for stress and guilt. So instead of showing up to the party hungry and stuffing your face with ham and dressing, eat a healthy snack before you leave and keep your portions small.
• Rest. Make a little time for yourself and just breathe.
