Jobs headed to Chico

The city is all abuzz with the news that a company called Milestone Technologies Inc. is expanding it operations to Chico, possibly bringing as many as 230 jobs to town by the end of the year.

The company is based in Fremont and is headed by CEO Prem Chand (pictured), who was born and raised in Biggs. According to a city of Chico press release, Milestone “provides custom IT solutions to some of the world’s most well-known companies, including eBay, Apple, Facebook, Cisco, Google and others.”

Mayor Scott Gruendl boasted in the same press release that “Milestone’s decision to site its new contact center in Chico continues to heighten our visibility as a great location for technology and Internet-based business.”
