Jesus lovers hate art
Bob Howard affixes a fish-shaped label beneath one of his paintings, part of a religious-themed art exhibit held at Has Beans Café on Main Street. Howard and fellow artist Jonathon Troxler were told Monday, after their exhibit had been up for only one day, that Christian café customers were threatening a boycott unless the art was taken down. On Tuesday, the artists held a reception before removing the paintings, which depicted Jesus and other Christian icons in bizarre and humorous scenes.
