Former corrections officer sentenced for exposing genitals to female inmate
A former Butte County correctional deputy, 27-year-old Timothy Hill, was sentenced on Oct. 15 for exposing his genitals to a female inmate at Butte County Jail.
The case dates back to the summer of 2014, when the Sheriff's Office got word that Hill may have been acting inappropriately with an incarcerated woman. Hill resigned once an investigation was launched and in July he was charged with indecent exposure, sexual activity with an inmate and sexual battery.
Hill was sentenced to 30 days in jail as part of his three years of probation and ordered to complete a treatment program for sex offenders, according to a press release from District Attorney Mike Ramsey. He was immediately taken into custody at the hearing and transported to an out-of-county jail.
